M K Roark has constructed millions of square feet of commercial interior build-outs --- for many of the most prestigious firms around, including IBM, Citicorp, Ryder System, Cushman & Wakefield, Tishman Speyer and a host of others. We originally grew our company around the explosion of new office space in the mid-80’s, when within five years of opening our doors we found ourselves one of the twelve largest general contractors in Florida, honored as the Outstanding Commercial General Contractor of the Year by the American Institute of Architects as well as the recipient of other awards along the way.

Attention to detail defines our approach to interiors, where every aspect of the construction process has ultimately reflected the quality of workmanship in the office space, stores, restaurants, medical facilities, and other interior projects we have constructed. We simply know this business inside/out and our reputation for quality simply proves it.

We developed a systematic approach to construction and quality control while building interiors that has stayed with us through the years and informed our approach to other types of construction as we grew.

That extra time we spend obsessing about shop drawings, layouts and measurements on the job site and the right way to join materials always shows up in the final product. Our experience has de-mystified the process and we can see ahead to what works and what doesn’t.

We are proud of our ability to provide value engineering without compromising the designer’s intent. We know how to recommend suitable and cost-effective materials and equipment and what it takes to put them together in an intelligent manner.

Watching the Budget

Although we prefer to build from complete and well-detailed drawings, we have also provided guaranteed maximum pricing based on early-stage drawings and constructed large interiors on a fast rack basis by working closely and intuitively with the Interior Design or Architect.
